Estimate your GST/HST credit for the 2025–26 benefit year based on your family status, income, and number of children under 19. We also estimate the one-time June 5, 2026 top-up (50% of your annual amount) before the credit is replaced by the Canada Groceries and Essentials Benefit in July.

The single biggest source of confusion with this credit is timing, not math: the CRA calculates it from last year's tax return, so a 2025 raise will not change your deposits until July 2026. The calculator below uses the same base amounts and phase-out thresholds the CRA publishes, so you can compare its output against your own CRA My Account notice.
At $50,000 income, phase-out kicks in: $4,479 × 5% = $224 reduction → annual drops to ~$493.
The 2025–26 amounts are 2.7% higher than 2024–25 (CPI indexation). Bigger story: this is the final benefit year for the GST/HST credit — starting July 2026 it gets replaced by the new Canada Groceries and Essentials Benefit (CGEB), which raises the base for couples and per-child amounts. Same payment cadence, different name on your CRA notice.
