KOHO App & Login Help (2026) — Download, Sign In, Lockouts, and Scam Warnings
30-second answer: KOHO is app-first. Download the official KOHO app from the Apple App Store or Google Play, sign in with the email on file (KOHO sends a one-time code — no password), and contact support through in-app chat or help@koho.ca. KOHO has no public phone line — any phone number claiming to be KOHO support is a scam.
How to download the KOHO app
Use the official stores only:
- iOS: Apple App Store → search "KOHO Financial" → publisher should read KOHO Financial Inc.
- Android: Google Play Store → search "KOHO Financial" → same publisher check.
How to log in to KOHO
- Open the KOHO app.
- Tap Sign in.
- Enter the email address tied to your account.
- KOHO emails a one-time login code (typically 6 digits, expires in a few minutes).
- Enter the code in the app to complete sign-in.
- If 2FA is enabled, complete the second step (push notification or authenticator code).
There is no traditional username/password combo and no public web portal for consumer accounts. The login code email is the source of truth — guard the email inbox like a banking password.
If you're locked out
Case 1 — You still access the email on file
Request a new login code from the sign-in screen. If the code never arrives, check spam, then wait two minutes and request again (KOHO rate-limits codes to prevent abuse).
Case 2 — You lost access to the email on file
Email help@koho.ca from any address with the following:
- Your full legal name as it appears on the account
- Date of birth
- Last 4 digits of your KOHO prepaid card
- Approximate dates and amounts of two recent transactions
- The new email address you'd like the account moved to
KOHO support will run identity verification — expect 1–3 business days. Never share your full card number or your one-time login code, even with someone claiming to be KOHO support.
Case 3 — You lost the phone with 2FA
Same email path as Case 2. KOHO support can disable 2FA after identity verification so you can sign in from a new device, then walk you through re-enabling it.
Official KOHO support channels
- In-app chat — fastest. Open the app → Profile → Get Help → Chat.
- Email: help@koho.ca
- X / Twitter: @koho — public-facing only; never share account details in a public reply.
- Mailing address: KOHO Financial Inc., 119 Spadina Avenue, Suite 700, Toronto, ON M5V 2L1.
Common KOHO login problems
| Symptom | Likely fix |
|---|---|
| "Email not recognized" | Try variants of your email; if none work, contact support — your account may use a different address than you remember. |
| Login code never arrives | Check spam, wait 2 minutes, request a new code. If still nothing, your inbox may be blocking KOHO — whitelist no-reply@koho.ca. |
| "Account locked" | Triggered by too many failed code attempts. Wait 30 minutes and retry, or email help@koho.ca. |
| App crashes on login | Update the app from the App Store / Play Store, restart the device, then try again. |
