Minimum 5% on the first $500,000 of purchase price, plus 10% on any portion between $500,000 and $1,500,000. Anything above $1,500,000 requires 20% down and is not eligible for CMHC insurance. On a $700,000 home, the minimum is $45,000 (5% ร $500K + 10% ร $200K).
